Other Contact Information

Toll-free telephone service for Medicare providers represents a commitment of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) to the principle that no Medicare provider should have to pay to talk to their Medicare contractor. Therefore, we are pleased to provide you with toll-free access to several WPS-Medicare service areas as part of the CMS nationwide program.

For WPS, the toll-free service is state-specific, meaning that each state within the WPS service area has its own phone lines for providers.

Effective July 1, 2005, the toll-free telephone number for the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) offices of the HHS/Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals is 866-236-5089.

IVR

* - IVR functions that require a provider number, such as claim status and eligibility, have limited hours due to system availability. The standard hours of operation for these functions are: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm CT, and Saturday 7:00am - 12:00pm CT
