Important Information for PC-ACE Users: Upgrade now to v1.90!
All PC-Ace users must upgrade to version 1.90 PC-Ace prior to May 23, 2008. This version will allow providers to bill claims with NPI only. All PC-Ace users must run the V1.90 version and on 5/23/08, the software will suppress the legacy provider numbers on the claims submitted to Medicare. You will not need to remove legacy provider numbers from your files.
Below are some changes to the software with the new version 1.90:
- When setting up a new patient, you will see new tabs on the patient database. Be sure that when you click on Primary Insured to set up the patient's primary insurance and Secondary Insured for the patient's second insurance, click the option with the letters PROF instead of INST. If you receive a box for Insured Information Options, make sure you click on "Separate Inst and Prof. "Failure to click on this option will severely limit the payer IDs you have access to.
- When setting up provider numbers, you must be careful to choose Provider (Prof) instead of Provider (Inst).
- We have created updated versions of the PC-Ace User Guide and they are available on the following Website where the PC-Ace download is found as well as on the CDs mailed to new providers without internet access.
