WPS Medicare Systems Quantity Billing

WPS Medicare may limit the number of services billable for a procedure code on each line of a claim. The link to the Quantity Bill List below provides you with a complete list of procedure codes and how many services (units) are billable per line.

The Quantity Bill List contains a Type of Service (TOS) column which can affect the quantity billable per line by procedure. The Multiple Services (MS) Column indicates the number of services WPS Medicare is able to accept per line. This list is updated quarterly.

The information in the MS column can differ from quantities allowed by Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs). The MUEs can limit the number of times a procedure can be billed to Medicare per day. To learn more about MUEs, visit
