The DDE System is an online application that will allow direct online access to your Medicare claims. Some features of the DDE system are:
- Claim Entry
- Medicare Eligibility Inquiries Common Working File (CWF)
- Error Correction
- Claim Status
- Claim Adjustments
- Roster Billing (Flu/Pneumococcal Pneumonia Vaccine)
WPS Medicare offers two options for connectivity to DDE through IVANS and VisionShare. Both connections meet current CMS requirements. WPS Medicare does not recommend one option over the other.
Connectivity Options
IVANS Inc. provides a direct connection to the DDE System through a high-speed internet connection, secure dial-up, or dedicated leased line, depending upon the provider's needs. With IVANS solution, providers can access the complete Medicare workflow, including real-time Medicare eligibility verification, claims status inquiry, remittance advice, claims submission and confirmation, and precertification/referral. IVANS charges a flat monthly fee or hourly fee, based upon the service selected.

New DDE Connection
If you are a Provider, Corporate Office, Central Business Office (CBO), or Third Party, and you are requesting a new DDE connection or you are changing software vendors, complete the following form:
- Medicare System Access Agreement

The Access Agreement ID Request Form is also required to be complete. This form is attached to the Medicare System Access Agreement.
Note: A Medicare System Access Agreement is also required whenever there is a change of ownership, facility name, address or PTAN/NPI number change. In addition, when there is a change of ownership, CMS requires the new owner to obtain new Logon IDs.
Current DDE Connection
If you currently have access to the DDE System and need to request a new Logon ID, Machine ID, add a PTAN/provider number to an existing WPS Legacy EDC Logon ID, terminate a Logon ID, add Access to an EDC Logon ID established through another FI or re-activate an EDC Logon ID, complete the following form:
