Direct Data Entry (DDE/Remote)
This is an online application that will allow direct online access to your Medicare claims. Some features of the DDE system are:
- Claim Entry
- Medicare Eligibility Inquiries Common Working File (CWF)
- Error Correction
- Claim Status
- Claim Adjustments
- Roster Billing (Flu/Pneumococcal Pneumonia Vaccine)
WPS offers the following two options for connectivity for Direct Data Entry (DDE)
Visionshare - VisionShare offers connectivity through the user's Internet to connect to the DDE system. VisionShare charges a flat fee for usage.

IVANS - IVANS provides a direct connection to the DDE System through a dialup connection, via a modem. IVANS charges hourly for usage. IVANS also offers a high speed internet connection and charges a flat fee for usage.

Both of the connections meet current CMS requirements. WPS Medicare does not recommend one option over the other.

If you are interested in using the DDE online system, you will need to fill out the following forms:

Medicare Existing ID's form
Please use this form when switching your existing connection to VisionShare. This form should be completed along with the DDE Access Agreement for VisionShare.
The Third Party Access Agreement will need to be completed if you are planning to use a third party biller to assist with your billing. This form needs to be signed and dated by both the third party biller and the provider.

Please call this number when you have these needs:
- Changing of passwords for the DDE online system. This would include your AT&T User ID and your WPS-Medicare Logon ID.
- Customer Service Analysts conduct training for providers that are new to the WPS-Medicare DDE System.
