The Direct Data Entry (DDE) System is an online application that will allow direct online access to your Medicare claims. Some features of the DDE system are:

Steps for Obtaining Access to the DDE System

Step 1: Establish a Connection
The following are three CMS-approved vendors that WPS Medicare providers may elect for connectivity to DDE. WPS Medicare does not recommend one option over the other.

EDI Enrollment form
The EDI Enrollment form must be completed in order to request access to DDE system. Providers who have a signed EDI Enrollment Form on file are not required to submit a new EDI Enrollment Form.

DDE User ID Recertification Q&As

DDE User Recertification

As an additional security requirement, providers must recertify, on an annual basis, all active user IDs and/or machine IDs that have access to the DDE system. Notification will be sent to providers requesting to complete the DDE User ID Recertification. The notification will be sent, via email, to the authorized approver on file from prior recertifications. If an email address is not on file with WPS Medicare, the notice will be sent via postal mail.

If the completed form is not received by the designated due date, access to the DDE system will be removed for all users associated with that provider.

Should access to the DDE system be removed, the provider will need to complete the DDE Access Request form to reinstate the access. The reinstatement process may take up to 30 business days to complete.
