Legacy Part A front-end transition update for adding providers to UHAR mailboxes

Home Provider Part A Publications

Effective 12/08/08, WPS will no longer accept any Electronic Media Claim (EMC) or Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) requests to add providers to a UHAR mailbox. All submitters that will submit EDI claims directly to WPS will need to complete a self-registration process on our WPS Trading Partner System (WTPS) to prepare for transaction testing and production claim submission. WTPS is located at the following URL: https://corp-ws.wpsic.com/apps/wtps-web/unauth/wtps.do link to website outside of WPS Medicare

If your office currently submits to WPS for other lines of business, you can continue to use the same submitter number for your Part A legacy claims.

After registration has been completed on WTPS, we will send you the appropriate submitter ID and password information to connect to our choice of FTP.

Submitters without Internet access may register for EDI by contacting us at the toll free number listed below.

For EMC, an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) form will need to be faxed to WPS if we do not have one on file. The form is located at http://wpsmedicare.com/part_a/business/edi_enrollment.pdf adobe portable format document

For ERA, an Authorization Form for Electronic Remittance Advice processing (ERA) should be faxed to WPS. The form is located at http://wpsmedicare.com/part_a/business/eraauthform.pdf adobe portable format document

If you have any questions about this, please call the EDI area at 866-734-6656.
