Important Information Regarding the Medicare Part A Inbound Reject Report
Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) provides the Medicare Part A Inbound Reject Report, report ID HB997ZRJ-A, via fax and electronically to submitters whose batch claims reject due to implementation or Medicare edit errors. Effective February 18, 2008, the report will only be produced electronically. You will need to retrieve the report via the connection you use to transmit your batch claim files.
If you use a Connect Mailbox ID, beginning with UHAR, and are not familiar with how to retrieve your reports, please visit the WPS Medicare Website at http://www.wpsmedicare.com/part_a/business/capabilities.shtml to access the commands. The process includes instructions on retrieving all the reports that are offered electronically, based on the EDI services you are currently enrolled in.
Once the reports have been retrieved, they can be viewed using Wordpad or Notepad on your computer. Please perform a mailbox directory to verify if you have reports in your mailbox before attempting to retrieve them. The command for the mailbox directory is included with the instructions in the above link. If you do not use a Connect Mailbox, please contact the office that provides your connectivity, for batch transmissions, for instructions on how to retrieve the reports.
