Communiqué Will Be Published Quarterly Effective January 2010 – Important Information about Policy Updates

Effective January 2010, WPS Medicare will publish the Communiqué, WPS' newsletter, to the Website quarterly, rather than monthly. The December 2009 Communiqué is the last monthly edition that WPS Medicare will publish. WPS Medicare will then publish the quarterly Communiqué in March, June, September, and December.

The new quarterly Communiqué will include articles from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and listings of new, retired, and revised policies.

WPS Medicare will create a new Policy Web page titled, "Policy Updates," that will list the new, retired, and revised policies. This page will include links to relevant policy information and be updated monthly. You will find this new Web page under the "Policy/Coverage" section of our Website. Providers should continue to watch the weekly WPS Medicare eNews messages for more information on this new page.

There will be no additional changes to the way that WPS Medicare publishes information to the WPS Medicare Website or eNews. Please continue to visit the WPS Medicare Website at http://www.wpsmedicare.com and subscribe to WPS Medicare eNews at http://www.wpsmedicare.com/listserv to stay informed about the most up-to-date Medicare program news. All information that we publish in the Communiqué is always on the Website and/or in eNews.
