Nebraska Part A Reason Code Crosswalks
Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS) Medicare has completed the requirement to create a new consolidated FISS Reason Code File for Jurisdiction 5 Part A claims processing. This new Reason Code file will be implemented effective March 1, 2008, which will immediately impact Part A providers previously served by BCBS of NE and Part A providers previously served by Wheatlands, that will now be served by WPS. Please see the links below to obtain important information regarding the Reason Code changes you will experience as a result of this new consolidated Reason Code File. The first link will provide you a list of Reason Codes in ascending order by reason code. The second link will provide you a list of reason codes grouped by status location. The third link will provide you a list of WPS Medical Review edits. The fourth link will provide you a list of WPS technical edits. The fifth link will provider any group code changes.
