Iowa Providers: Remark Code Error
It has been identified that Iowa providers have been receiving the remark code MA12 on their remittance notices in error. MA12 states "You have not established that you have the right under the law to bill for the services furnished by the person (s) that furnish this (these) service(s)."
WPS is aware of the problem and work is being done to correct the issue. You can ignore this message if payment was made on your claim. There is no need to call the Contact Center on this issue unless you have received a denial or incorrect payment has been made on your claim.
