WPS Medicare Has a Daily Payment Cycle
WPS Medicare would like to report that the Medicare payment cycle for all J5 Part B providers will run daily.
WPS Medicare has received questions about the payment cycle for Part B claims. During the course of planning and preparing for J5 implementation, WPS has learned that Part B providers in the states of Kansas, Nebraska, and Western Missouri (Western Missouri defined as formerly serviced by Wheatlands) were paid on a payment cycle that ran twice a week.
The WPS Medicare payment cycle will run daily for all J5 Part B providers beginning on the respective cutover date for each region. We hope this answers some questions and eases concerns regarding the claims payment schedule.
