Course Description

Medicare Appeals are governed by instructions from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). There are specific guidelines to follow when appealing a denied Medicare claim. The intent of this teleconference is to increase the attendee's understanding of the five levels of the Medicare Part B Appeals process, required time frames, dollar amount required, and the difference between reopenings and redeterminations. In addition, other topics covered will include correctly submitting an appeal request, completing the appeal form correctly, necessary documentation, and reasons for dismissals.
