Policy

Providers can locate links to the active policies, which govern WPS Medicare coverage. The policy section also contains links to draft policies, which are under consideration. This section also explains how to comment on a policy.

Fees

This part of the Website contains the fee schedules listing the Medicare allowed amount for various services. The following fees are located on the WPS Medicare Website:

Self-service

This section highlights different resources for providers own use. The section contains information on:

  • The "CMS Secure Net Access Portal (C-SNAP)" allows providers to obtain patient eligibility and claims status information online. Another article will focus on this resource.
  • "CMS Resources" is a quick reference list for finding information on the CMS Website or the Federal agencies that oversee Medicare.
  • "Contact Information" is a list of all WPS Medicare contact numbers and addresses.
  • "Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" contains important information about a variety of topics. Be sure to check this area of the Website.
  • A variety of other resources.

Searching

Lastly, don't forget about the search function. This function is designed to help providers find the information they are looking without navigating through the Website using the tabs. The search function is located directly below the word "Medicare" within the red box at the top of the page. You can use this function to search all of the WPS Medicare Website or just a selected area by using the drop down list directly to the left of the search box.
