The Website is designed to help beneficiaries make sense of the Medicare program. It is easy to navigate and has considerably less content than the CMS Provider Website. The articles and educational materials are written in simpler terms than many of the corresponding provider materials. This means that the materials on this Website can be very helpful as a starting point to understand complex subjects, especially when providers need to explain those subjects to their patients. Providers can use this Website to order publications geared towards Medicare patients.

There are two comparison tools available for patient use that compare hospitals and nursing homes within a local area. These tools may be helpful when referring your patient or helping your patient select either of these options.
