C-SNAP is available to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week at no cost.

News & Highlights

Enhanced C-SNAP Login Process - Effective May 24, 2012

  • All C-SNAP users will be required to create an e-Signature upon logging into C-SNAP on or after May 24, 2012.
  • To create your e-Signature (1) enter your date of birth and (2) select and answer three secret question and answer (Q&A) pairs.
  • The Date of Birth field is unable to be modified once entered.
  • After establishing your e-Signature, the next and subsequent times you log into C-SNAP you will be required to enter (1) your C-SNAP User Login ID, (2) your password, (3) your date of birth, and (4) the answer to a randomly selected secret question.
  • This enhanced security measure is required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to further safeguard the protected health information (PHI) of Medicare beneficiaries.
  • As always, the personal information provided to C-SNAP is used only for authenticating your identity when accessing the system. It is kept private, confidential, secure, and never shared.

C-SNAP Annual Re-Certification Process

C-SNAP requires all users to complete an annual re-certification. Please review the Annual Re-Certification Instructions.

Patient Eligibility (Real-time Data)

Access national eligibility information to verify Medicare beneficiary entitlement 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patient eligibility includes Managed Care Organization (MCO) enrollment information, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) information, preventive services, therapy caps, and much more.

Claim Status (Real-time Data)

Check the status of pending claims and receive detailed information about processed claims. Please note, claims status is only available when the Part A and Part B claims processing systems are available.

Duplicate Remittance Advice (On Demand)

Request entire duplicate remittances in standard paper format. View remittances instantly on your computer and print them locally at your office. Duplicate remits are available for the past 18 months.

Contact the C-SNAP Technical Support staff or Customer Service. Send inquiries about C-SNAP, request clarifications on claim denials or policies, and view responses using this secure online messaging system. Personal information stays private and confidential.
